JAEGER BRASS REBRANDING
For this rebranding, Harrison Oak teamed up with Jaeger Brass, a high-end trumpet company.
We created a musically-inspired logo, featuring a trumpet's bell in the tail of the "g". Embellishments around the letters help it to feel like brasswork.
The blackletter text is an homage to the German word Jaeger (which means Hunter).
Jaeger Brass is the creation of Ivan Hunter, trumpet maker and master.
I had the opportunity to visit Ivan's workshop in South Salem NY. Ivan gave me quite the education on the history and craftsmanship of the trumpet.
Later on, Ivan brought his entire range of trumpets to my studio for a photoshoot in-house.
We repurposed the color scheme for two logo variants - a dark version, for use on white backgrounds, and our favorite - a silver version that mimics the custom series, silver-plated Jaeger trumpets.
For this printed business card we incorporated images of uncut brass metal into the leathery brown and gold color scheme.
